Description
You’re not alone if you regret how you reacted to something today. We navigate complex interpersonal relationships, making a myriad of decisions. What if you could show up more and more as your authentic self and care for others, too?
This hands-on session gives you a way to clearly articulate your requests from a place of clarity and non-judgment so that you feel relief and hope while expressing yourself fully. No self-recriminations; rather, clarity, self-compassion, and empathy. Learn a way to journal in a way that moves you constructively through challenges and helps you celebrate. Also, discover how you can create a journaling group (and why you might like to).
Journaling with NVC gives you a chance to:
- Get clarity about what triggers you and what you yearn for without self-judgment
- Humanize others without giving up on what matters to you
- Decide what you want to do next while holding several strategies as possibilities
- Get out of recurring ruts or prepare for important upcoming conversations
- Practice communicating in a connecting way so relationships flow more naturally
Journaling in an NVC with others can be more powerful than journaling alone. You can:
- Practice honest expression, which fosters greater fluency and self-confidence
- Be witnessed non-judgmentally, which feels like acceptance and builds trust
- Gain personal clarity through others’ self-reflections and empathic presence
The facilitator has been journaling with others since 2018 and is available to support participants in breakout groups during the session. She has witnessed journaling help to save marriages, facilitate peaceful divorce, support nurturing parenting, and stave off unhealthy workplace stress. The key is ongoing self-connection and compassion.
Concerned about safety? To help create a safe environment, you:
- Have time to journal privately
- Decide how much or how little you wish to share
- Are in a space where people are invited to guess at feelings and needs (vs. give advice, educate, analyze) or to listen silently with that intention
Structure of the sessions:
- Check in together (brief))
- Journal individually (with a small group breakout support, if desired)
- Share reflections (brief, a choice not a requirement).
- Say goodbye
PREREQUISITE: NONE. CNVC Candidates are also welcome.
This registration is for a single journaling session. Next single one: July 15, 2026. Interested in an ongoing, facilitated journaling series? Let me know. Where there’s a need, there’s a way!
Facilitator: CNVC Certified Trainer and CALF Certified NVC Trainer Elke Haggerty, LL.M., MBA
